Cleaning the bathroom is a task that most people dread.  It’s one of the most used places in the home, and you may think it’s impossible to clean it quickly and effectively.  But cleaning a bathroom in just minutes is easier than you may think.

Simply follow these 6 simple tips and tricks to tidy up your bathroom in less than 10 minutes.  You’ll be prepared to handle any last minute guests and have a space you’re proud of.

Gather your cleaning supplies – Before you start cleaning your bathroom, gather all of the cleaning supplies you will need to do the job.  This should include a disinfectant spray or wipes, a glass cleaner, a toilet bowl cleaner, a scrub brush, a sponge, and a trash bag.  Having everything on hand will make the cleaning process much faster and more efficient.

Start with the toilet – The toilet is usually the dirtiest part of the bathroom, so it makes sense to begin there.  Start by squirting some toilet bowl cleaner into the bowl, and then use a toilet brush to scrub the inside of the bowl.  Don’t forget to scrub under the rim as well.  Once you’re done, finish by flushing the toilet.

Move on to the sink and countertop – Next, focus on the sink and countertop.  Start by using  a disinfectant spray or wipe to clean the sink and faucet.  If there are any toothpaste or soap stains, use a scrub brush or sponge to remove them.  Finish by wiping down the countertop with a damp cloth to remove any dust or debris.

Clean the mirror – The mirror is often overlooked, but it’s an essential part of any bathroom.  Simply use a glass cleaner and a clean cloth to wipe down the mirror, removing any water marks, streaks, or smudges.

Tackle the shower or bathtub –  For the shower or bathtub, use a spray-on cleaner and a scrub brush to remove any grime or soap scum.  If there are any stubborn stains, let the cleaner sit for a few minutes before scrubbing.  Finish by rinsing the shower or bathtub with water to remove any cleaner residue.

Sweep the floor – Finally, sweep the bathroom floor to remove any dirt or hair.  Use a dustpan to collect the dirt and dispose of it in a trash bag.

By following these 6 simple steps, you can clean your bathroom in under 10 minutes.  However, keep in mind that this is only a quick clean, so for the best results you’ll need to do a more thorough cleaning from time to time.  You can ensure that your bathroom stays in top shape by scheduling a full cleaning once or twice a month.  Simply contact our office to find out more!
